Jasmine Pierce
For a long as she can remember Jasmine has been bringing home animals of all kinds, and only once was turned away by her dad when she tried to bring a ball python home that belonged to a childhood friend. Horses have always held her heart and she has personally taken in several rescues over the years.
Nothing is more meaningful to Jasmine than helping a living being in need. Starting Wandering Hearts Rescue has been something of her dreams for decades. She knows this will likely be the most challening, and most rewarding endevor of her life!
She lives in Western North Carolina with her partner, 6 horses, 2 rescue dogs and their cat Fraser who came from the streets of Spartanburg.

Julia Lewis
Julia grew up on a small island off the coast of Maine, just steps from Acadia National Park, where her love for horses began early. Drawn to the focus and determination required in 3-day eventing, her years competing in eventing and dressage shaped her strong work ethic, deep respect for the horse, and lifelong passion for thoughtful equine management.
For nearly a decade, Julia has managed farms and overseen the daily care, rehabilitation, and well-being of horses. Her move from Maine to North Carolina—alongside her husband and their three rescue dogs—opened an exciting new chapter and ultimately led her to Wandering Hearts Rescue. A core part of the rescue’s mission that resonates deeply with Julia is education. She believes strongly that teaching the community about proper equine care is essential to preventing future neglect.
By empowering people with knowledge, compassion, and the tools to do better, she hopes to help create a future where horses and other large animals receive the respect and care they deserve. Today, Julia is grateful to be part of a mission that aligns so closely with her heart, and she is dedicated to helping equines and other large animals regain safety, stability, and peace.

Bayard Bellinger
From his early childhood his mom created an environment for nurturing animals of all kinds, the trickiest were the pet geese at their home in Southern California. His dad's family had a dairy farm and draft horses in Michigan and visits to nurse the calves are some of his most fond memories.
As an adult he feels blessed to call home in Western North Carolina with his rescue horse Walker where he enjoys trail riding, hiking and mountain biking. He lives on his farm with his 6 horses, 2 rescue dogs Pepper and Bento, and their cat Fraser who truly runs the farm.

Sara Roth
Sara grew up the daughter of a small animal veterinarian and the granddaughter of a barn manager, so her love of animals started early. Sara has been involved with animal rescue all her life- scaled, furry, or feathered, Sara has probably brought it home! She is currently a manager at The Farm House in Landrum, SC and holds her Master's Degree in Business. Sara lives with her 2 horses, 2 cats, and 2 dogs- all but her homebred Arab cross rescues. Her most recent rescue, a three-year-old Welsh pony cross was pulled out of Bowie Livestock hours before shipping to slaughter in Mexico.
