from "just horse" to just loved

Looking for a name for the holidays!

To his previous owner, he was simply known as "Horse"—a worker expected to ride the fence lines until he was deemed "useless." When his aging body and untreated pain rendered him unfit for work, he was surrendered.

Upon arriving at our rescue, we recognized what his former owner did not: a soul desperately in need of relief.

Through proper veterinary care, dental work, hoof maintenance, and a promise of retirement, a beautiful transformation began. The tired, nameless worker has been replaced by a bright-eyed, curious gentleman who is finally enjoying the life he always deserved.

Instead of trudging along fence lines, he now revels in short romps through the pasture, satisfying rolls in the grass, and indulging in the best food we have to offer.

He is currently taking time to decompress and heal, but his journey is just beginning. Once fully ready, this distinguished gentleman will be available for care lease or adoption. He seeks a quiet final chapter where he will be treasured as a companion, never treated as a mere tool.
