Camelot

Camelot is an 18-year-old Tennessee Walking Horse whose gentle heart has endured more loss than any horse should.  

He came to Wandering Hearts Rescue after losing his longtime pasture companion. Heartbroken and confused, Camelot was surrendered to us with a spirit that seemed dimmed by grief. Over the next year, with time, patience, and soft words, he found exactly what he needed most—another best friend. Camelot formed a deep bond with a big, older gelding, and the two quickly became inseparable: grazing shoulder to shoulder, sharing naps in the sun, and quietly watching over one another.  

In a beautiful turn of fate, that friendship became forever. Camelot and his gelding soulmate have just moved together to New Jersey, where they’ll spend the rest of their lives side by side—never separated again.  

Camelot’s story is one of loss, healing, and the power of true companionship, and we are honored to have been the bridge from his broken heart to his happily-ever-after.
